Over 200 Scouts, Volunteers, and Speakers assembled at the Amercian Memorial Park Softball Fields for a day of fun and fellowship. Highlights of the event were words from PSS Commissoner Rita Sablan, NMI Boy Scout Chief Executive Jess Muna, and NMI Boy Scout Island Director Cal Reyes.
Scouts gathered at 10am for the flag ceremony and the anthems of both USA and CNMI along with the Pledge of Allegiance. Father Celso Magbanua Jr. of Kristo Rai Church offered the opening prayer. Scouts then recited the Boy Scout or Cub Scout Oath. After that the boys competed in games of Tug-of War, Potato Sack racing, and Three-Legged racing. Plus, experienced Boy Scouts showed off their pioneering skills by lashing pole for a "Chariot Race" Scouts and visitors also enjoyed Ribs, Chicken, Hot Dogs, and Rice.
